Tempo Traveller vs Urbania vs Bus — Which One for Your Group Trip
- Tempo Traveller: 9, 12 or 16 seats, standard comfort
- Urbania: same 9, 12, 16-seat range, luxury comfort
- Bus: 21 to 50 seats, for larger groups, AC/Non-AC options
- Same headcount can go Tempo Traveller or Urbania — the choice is comfort level, not capacity
For group trips of 9 people or more, the choice usually comes down to Tempo Traveller, Urbania, or a Bus. Here's how to decide.
Tempo Traveller — Standard Comfort, 9 to 16 Seats
The most common choice for group and pilgrimage travel. Comfortable, well-ventilated, and cost-effective for groups that don't need premium seating. Best for pilgrimage tours, college trips and friend-group weekend getaways.
Urbania — Luxury Comfort, Same Capacity
Urbania comes in the same 9, 12 and 16-seat sizes as Tempo Traveller, but with a noticeably more premium cabin — better seating, more legroom and a smoother ride. It's the natural upgrade when the group wants comfort to match a corporate offsite or a premium pilgrimage trip, without changing headcount.
Bus — 21 to 50 Seats
Once a group exceeds 16–18 people, Mini Bus (21/25 seats) or Bus (33 to 50 seats) categories take over. Our Volvo Multi-Axle XL 33-seater is a popular premium choice for long-distance group pilgrimage and event travel. AC and Non-AC options are available across most bus categories, except the 40-seater which is AC only.
How to Decide
Start with your headcount, then decide on comfort level. For 9–16 people, choose Tempo Traveller for budget-conscious trips or Urbania for a premium experience. For 20+ people, move to Mini Bus or Bus categories. Try the Group Size → Vehicle Recommender for an instant suggestion.
